Privacy
Pubdoku is deliberately simple: no accounts, no individual visitor profiles, and no advertising technology.
No account, no sign-in
You can play without giving us a name, an email address or any other personal details. We do not ask you to register and we do not build a profile of you.
What is stored on your device
Your puzzle progress, guess count, elapsed time and streak are stored locally in your browser's storage on the device you play on. They are not sent to us as a player record. If you clear your browser storage, that history is gone.
The service that runs the game
Pubdoku uses Supabase, a hosted database service, to serve the daily puzzle, to search pub names and to check your answers on the server rather than in your browser. Requests needed to run the game are handled by that service and by our hosting provider, which may process ordinary technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of serving and securing the site.
Advertising and analytics
Pubdoku currently uses Lovable's built-in aggregate visitor analytics. It records overall traffic only: visitors and pageviews, visit duration, bounce rate, referring sources, pages viewed, device types and country. Country is derived from your browser's time zone. It is not used to build individual visitor profiles and it does not follow you across separate visits.
There is no advertising technology on Pubdoku, no third-party behavioural analytics and no cross-site tracking. If we introduce any optional advertising or analytics technologies in future, we will present the appropriate choice before they are used and update this page and the cookies page first.
